Dear
Parents and Guardians:
The
twenty-sixth annual Avonworth Children’s Hospital Auction will be held on
December 12th for high school students and on December 13th
for middle school students. Through this event, the school district raises
money for the Free Care Fund at Children’s Hospital. The Free Care Fund
provides medical treatment to children whose families otherwise could not
afford it. The fundraising campaign consists of the live auctions in the high
school and middle school, the change challenge in the elementary school and an
online auction.
In
the past, the district has raised over $20,000 a year for the Free Care Fund,
more than any other school district in the region. In order to continue this
success, donations are needed from community members and local businesses. All
donations are greatly appreciated. If you or your business would like to make a
donation, please contact Greg Wolfe (GWolfe@avonworth.k12.pa.us)
or Stephanie Springer (stephanierspringer@gmail.com).
You can also drop off donations in either room 209 in the high school or
room115 in the middle school with a label to identify the donor.
Community
members can also participate in the event by visiting our online bid page. The
online auction will be posted on www.webidz.com.
Additionally, we invite all community members to attend both of the live
auctions.
Thank
you in advance for your support in this endeavor, and we look forward to
another successful event.
Sincerely,
Stephanie
Springer, Katie Abramowich, and Rebecca Volk
