Snow make-up days announced
The Avonworth School District has announced their snow make up days on the website. "[T]he previously
scheduled days April 14, 15, 16 and 17 will be snow make-up days and
school will be in session. These days were noted on the board approved
2013-2014 calendar."

PSSA Snack Donations
The PSSA testing season in rapidly approaching. Our 8th grade students will be tested in writing, math, reading and science. We are requesting snack donations for the students. There will be a total of eleven (11) days of testing. There are approximately 105 students in the eighth grade. That amounts to roughly 1,115 drinks and 1,115 snacks for the entire testing window. If you are able to donate a case of small water bottles and/or a case of individually packaged snacks (popcorn, pretzels, granola bars, graham crackers, goldfish, etc) please contact Emily Hickman. The students thank you in advance for your contribution.
Layered Curriculum continues in science class
Students in science continue to work through the layered curriculum. The checkpoint for Friday is 38 pts. Students should be adding the points they have earned as a check for progress. To be successful in the layered curriculum students should bring home some activities to complete each week.

responsible for bringing their own calculator to the testing sessions.
Available calculators are limited! Please speak to your student about
what they will use during our 3 days of math testing. Students are not
permitted to use the calculator feature of their phones.
